ESTABLISHING A STRONG POLITICAL ALTERNATIVE FOR AMERICA

We will not mince words, dance around, or make apology for what our intentions are. Our intentions are to promote a strong political alternative to the two party system that has become severely affected by the influence of those who use their financial power and prestige to promote allegiance to a world of corporation dominated international laws of trade above the interests of national civilizations and the rights of independent Americans. We believe our national survival, as an independent nation based upon our Declaration Of Independence, lies in the balance.

Today, we see a great need to promote patriotism for who we are as an independent nation and a people who have made great sacrifice for our people’s rights. We see a need to promote confidence in the laws of our Constitution and respect for that law as being the instrument enabling our people to lay claim to their rights. We see a need to have a vision for the future that includes the recognition of a new political party that believes in promoting civil defense through use of the people’s Constitutional rights for self defense.

Where we see on page one of this letter an introduction to our message that can be used as a dialogue when contacting people, page two lays out our plan for how we intend to accomplish our political goals.

We begin with the distribution of this information, then we look for the needed support.

We look for people who understand the events of our day and who share our concerns as expressed here and in the "We The People Of The Union" pamphlet.

In a state such as Kansas, once we obtain agreements from at least 400 people to participate in a petition drive, we can then begin to collect the required petition signatures for official state Independent American Party recognition. The 400 people can consist of those who will help pass out this information as well as those who will only agree to help us in the petition drive after the 400 supporters have been found. When the petition drive begins, 400 people will be able to collect 18,000 signatures with a minimum of only 45 collected signatures each. Larger states will require larger numbers.

For each successful state petition drive, the Independent American Party will have ballot access in the coming 2006 election year. As important as it is to succeed in achieving IAP ballot access, increasing the political awareness of the citizens is as important as is ballot access.

The National Chairman of the IAP has given the following instruction for ballot access:

"I have one major suggestion on gaining ballot access: You may consider yourself as having two missions (1) to gain ballot access, and (2) to recruit party members. I strongly suggest that you keep those two missions entirely separate from each other, or you are likely to fail with the ballot access one."

"The brochure you have written may well lend itself to recruiting petitioners for the ballot access drive. But I would not use it to get people to sign the petition. Sometimes we are tempted to try to convert the signers into members, but we lose too much time in doing that."

"In our last petition drive in Utah (even though we missed it by 500 names), we didn’t even try to promote the party. Our approach was - "Every party ought to have the right to be on the ballot" - and it worked very well. People from all political persuasions were willing to sign our petition. When anyone asked for information about our party, we then handed them a flyer, but we did not try to (use) flyers in our approach."

"So you might consider this for the petition efforts; and concern your self with recruiting in a separate effort."

In every state of the Union, with the support of concerned citizens who can see that our rights can be easily lost if we are not willing to stand up for them, we should be able to find many more than 400 supporters. Though many might not have the time or means to directly engage in the effort, many will still wish us success in our work of defending our rights of liberty.
