National Chairman's Letter

Dear Members and Friends of the Independent American Party,
I am pleased to announce the fifth National Conference of the Independent
American Party to be held January 26-27, 2001 in Salt Lake City, Utah. Our
semi-annual Conference will consist of an evening Social, National Committee
Business Meeting and a Speakers Forum. Everyone is invited to attend all events
(though only National Committee members may speak and vote in the Business
Meeting). All events are free of charge except for the meal at the evening
Social.
The schedule of events are:
IAP Social:
Friday, January 26, 7:00 PM at Home Town Buffet restaurant, 5682 South Redwood
Road, Taylorsville (Salt Lake City), Utah. This will consist of a buffet dinner,
followed by introductions and impromptu comments by everyone attending. The
price of the meal is $8.60 per adult, plus gratuity.
Business Meeting:
Saturday, January 27, 10:00 AM to Noon at Murray City Hall, 5025 South State
Street, Murray (Salt Lake City), Utah. Parking is in the rear of the building.
The agenda will include a review of the past election year, discussion and
planning of future growth and direction, standing committee meetings, and
election of national officers and executive committee members.
Speakers Forum:
1:00 PM to 3:30 PM, same date and location as the Business Meeting. Our speakers
will be Janine Hansen, Jim Dexter, Janalee Tobias, and myself.
Janine Hansen is President of Eagle Forum of Nevada, Northern Nevada Chair of
successful Protection of Marriage Act in 2000, a citizen lobbyist since 1971,
editor of the Independent American in Nevada, National Committeewoman to the
Constitution Party, 1976 Ballot Access Chair and past National Treasurer of US
Taxpayers Party. The Protection of Marriage Act won in Nevada by 70%.
Jim Dexter is a talk show host on KTKK Radio (Salt Lake), State Chairman of
Utah Libertarian Party, and recent US Senate candidate. Jim invited each of the
IAP congressional and state-wide candidates to appear on his radio show at
least twice during the 2000 campaign.
Janalee Tobias is President and founder of Women Against Gun Control, citizen
activist, founder of other citizen organizations, among Outstanding Young Women
of America 1997, and free-lance writer. Janalee's WAGC has members both
nationally and internationally.
Bruce Bangerter is Chairman and a founder of the national Independent
American Party, former Vice Chair and Executive Director of the Utah IAP, recent
Congressional candidate, and past Congressional and US Senate candidate.
