National Chairman's Letter
September 2001
Dear Members and Friends of the Independent American Party,
Our IAP National Mission statement includes promoting respect for life, liberty,
property, family, sovereignty, and so forth; and concludes with the means of
accomplishing that "-- by petition to God and by political and educational
means."
With regard to educational means -- with a virtual news media blackout
against non-liberal political entities -- we have come to rely largely on our
national www.usiap.org and state party web sites as well as by word of month. I
would like to take you on a descriptive tour of our prolific national site to
give you a feel of what it has to offer.
The site, which is updated every weekend, has ten main pages or sections:
Home, Principles, Events, Action Items, Viewpoints, State Parties, Directory, Legacy, Archives,
and Contact.
National Home. On this page we often commemorate special days (such as
Independence Day and Constitution Day) and announce imminent state and national
IAP events. We regularly show New Viewpoint Articles and Commentary Series
for
the week. Under What's New? we show IAP News Briefs of recent national and state
party activities, New Correspondence, Recent Viewpoint Articles, and
Recent Commentary. We list links to our State Contacts and Area Coordinators. And we
close with our Mission statement.
Principles. Here we have the thirteen points of our National Principles of
the Independent American Party.
Events. This page announces upcoming IAP state and national Events as soon as
they are scheduled for the current and following year, and includes details of
the events as they become available. Highlights of past national conferences are
also accessible from this page.
Action Items. Here we list several Action Items of national interest that
ought to be acted upon by contacting Congressional representatives or other
public officials, circulating petitions, and by other means.
Viewpoints. This prolific section is the most popular of our site. The
Viewpoints menu currently features 252 regular Viewpoint Articles, 35
Special
Series articles, eight Commentary articles, 34 Correspondence items, seven other
articles, and 14 Speeches (from our National Conferences) -- a total of 350
items.
Viewpoint articles cover the topics of abortion, alcohol, character,
Christian culture, Constitution, crime, culture war, drugs, economy, education,
elections, environment, freedom, gambling, government, gun control,
homosexuality, impeachment, media, military, morality, New World Order,
paganism, politics, pornography, presidents, property, sovereignty, trade, and
others.
State Parties. Here we list and link to the web sites or contact pages of our
three Member State Parties -- Minnesota, Tennessee and Utah; our 11 Prospective
States Parties -- Alabama, Arizona, California, Florida, Hawaii, Indiana,
Michigan, New York, Texas, Virginia and Wyoming, and our Area Coordinators; and
two Associated State Parties (friends of the IAP). These sites and pages contain
contact and other information of our various state parties. And the list is
growing rapidly.
Directory. This page contains a directory of the names of our National
Officers, National Executive Committee, and our Standing Committees
(Chairs).
Legacy. This is a patriotic section that features Notable Quotes -- a popular
area that includes 252 quotations from the Holy Bible, our Founding Fathers, and
other patriots and individuals. The section also contains five Freedom
Documents, four Memorable Speeches, six Patriotic Hymns, and
Presidential
Portraits (images) of eight of our early presidents. We will be adding more to
this section as time permits.
Archives. In this section we maintain reference items that include past
News Articles; past National Conference Reports; my National Chairman's Letters from
July 1999 to the present; several IAP Party Documents -- our History, Bylaws and
Constitution; several INC Documents (by the Independent National Committee that
we recently voted to associate with) -- Comments, A Treatise, and proposed INC
Constitution and Bylaws; 16 Campaign 2000 articles by our 2000 presidential and
vice presidential candidates Howard Phillips and Curtis Frazier, plus election
results; and Visitor Comments to our site from December 1998 through December
1999.

We invite you as members and friends of the IAP to contribute Correspondence
and Viewpoint articles, Action Items, and Legacy features for placement on our
national web site. They may be emailed to us in plain text as part of the email
body or as an attached file in Microsoft Word or Word Perfect document form. Please
include your name and the state you are from. Our email address is contact@usiap.org.
Our editors have editorial discretion of the material published on the site.
Some of our future goals for the site are: Add introductory articles about
the IAP that are accessible from the Home page. Add more frequent and timely
Action Items. Arrange our Viewpoint articles by topical category on the
Viewpoints menu. Add to our Legacy features with more patriotic speeches,
documents, hymns (with audio music added), and graphical images. And improve the
graphics on our site in general. We also plan to reopen our Candidates section
early next year with photos, biographies, views and links for all our candidates
in all states.
We invite your suggestions for the site. And we hope you will visit often.
Yours for Freedom!
Bruce Bangerter
