National Chairman's Letter
National Sovereignty
November 2002
Dear Members and Friends of the Independent American Party,
Our IAP National Mission includes our commitment "to promote ...
national sovereignty ...." Our National Platform, in the 12th
introduction point, states, "[U.S. Sovereignty] We believe that a
sovereign America is necessary for us to maintain our freedom and way of life;
that we must withdraw from all international agreements that diminish our
independence; and that we must resist all efforts to draw us into the new world
order."
In the mid-18th Century, the American colonies were part of the British
Empire, and their sovereign was King George III. But a tyrannical Great Britain
enraged the colonists. And an American resistance came to life. They formed the
Sons of Liberty, the Committees of Correspondence, and the Minutemen. The First
Continental Congress convened, and began its first session with a three-hour
prayer. They knew they needed God's help.
At first, they petitioned for a redress of their grievances. When that
failed, they pressed for freedom. When freedom proved unattainable under British
rule, they demanded independence or national sovereignty. Thus, the Declaration
of Independence!
With the Declaration, the Revolution was enflamed, but was likely to be
crushed within a few months. They had to fight the mighty British on one front
and American indifference on the other. But God smiled on the new nation's
undertaking. George Washington was inspired to conceive a surprise Christmas Eve
attack across the icy Delaware. British reinforcements were delayed three months
at a
critical point in the war by adverse ocean winds. God balanced the interests of
nations and produced an irresistible motive for France to ally with the United
States.
In the final battle at Yorktown, the British attempted to escape across the
York River, to fight another day. But their boats were blown back by a sudden
virtual hurricane -- causing Cornwallis to exclaim, "It looks like even God
is on Washington's side." And He was!
By the grace of God, America became a free and sovereign nation, with Jesus
Christ as our sovereign! The Constitution was established and became the Supreme
Law of the land. And George Washington, in his Farewell Address, cautioned us:
"The great rule of conduct for us, in regard to foreign nations is, in
extending our commercial relations to have with them as little political connection
as possible. It is our true policy to steer clear of permanent alliances, with
any portion of the foreign world."
But today our God-given national sovereignty is in jeopardy! Insidious
efforts have long been underway to bring the United States into the New World
Order. The NWO agenda includes the destruction of US sovereignty and the US
Constitution, the destruction of the sovereignty and constitutions of all other
nations, and the establishment of a world government.
Following are a few glimpses of the multi-pronged attack against our national
sovereignty:
• In education -- patriotism and love of country are discouraged in
public schools so that our children's first loyalty will be to the United
Nations rather than to the United States.
• In morality -- the influence of SIECUS has promoted teen sex,
homosexuality, and teen rebellion against parents; and helped foster
disintegration of our nation's moral fabric.
• In trade -- WTO, NAFTA and GATT treaties have diminished our economic
self-sufficiency and independence, and our right to establish our own
foreign commerce policy.
• In the environment -- United Nations biosphere reserves have been
established in the United States and placed under UN control.
• In jurisprudence -- the International Criminal Court threatens to usurp
our Constitutional rights to trial by jury, a speedy trial, accountable
judges, appeals and habeas corpus.
• In the military -- our servicemen have been assigned to UN commands,
made to wear UN uniforms and insignia, and committed to UN military actions.
• In readiness -- we have reduced our military capability under the name
of "disarmament" to the extent that we can no longer fight a
two-theater war nor resist a tyrannical United Nations.
• In national security -- foreign military bases have been established on
American soil; and after 9/11, AWACS warplanes with foreign UN pilots were
invited to patrol US skies.
James Paul Warburg, a player in the Federal Reserve Act, said February 17,
1950 before the US Senate: "We shall have World government, whether or not
we like it. The only question is whether World government will be achieved by
conquest or consent."
Richard Gardner, in the April 1974 issue of Foreign Affairs, wrote: "...
the New World Order will be built ... but an end run around national
sovereignty, eroding it piece by piece, will accomplish much more than the old
fashioned frontal assault."
George Bush (senior) stated on February 1, 1992: "My vision of a New
World Order foresees a UN with a revitalized peacekeeping function. It is the
sacred principles enshrined in the UN charter to which we henceforth pledge our
allegiance."
With the implementation of world government, we can expect on a global scale
what we have seen in other countries: A one-world pagan religion, world taxation
and an equalization of wealth, a KGB-like international police force,
international courts, population control (including forced sterilizations and
abortions), a global military force, and unobstructed global tyranny.
Though we face an imminent New World Order on one hand and American
indifference on the other, we pledge as a political party to fight for the
restoration and preservation of our American national sovereignty for ourselves,
our posterity and our fellow Americans, by petition to God, and by political and
educational means!
Yours for Freedom!
