National Chairman's Letter
IAP Principles 10 thru
13
March 2005
Dear Independent American friends,
In this letter I will conclude my series of quotes or commentary on our IAP
national Principles. I will now touch on the last four of the thirteen
principles.
10. We consider it a violation of the Constitution for the Federal Government
to levy taxes for the support of state or local government; that no state or
local government can accept funds from the Federal Government and remain
independent in performing its functions, nor can the citizens exercise their
rights of self-government under such conditions.
The Tenth Amendment says: "The powers not delegated to the United States
by the Constitution, nor prohibited by it to the States, are reserved to the
States respectively, or to the people."
Today we can see the erosion of state sovereignty as a result of socialism in
America. Regional and metro governments are used by federal bureaucrats to
bypass state and local governments in matters that were once reserved to the
states. Revenue Sharing and other money strings are used to force the states to
comply with federal edicts. The national government is no longer the agent of
the states. Rather, the states are now agents of the federal government.
With the invasion of centralized and socialized government, encroachment of
States' Rights, and the shredding of our Constitution, we can see at best —
inefficient and wasteful government, and at worst — the tentacles of tyranny
enveloping our nation.
11. We deem it a violation of the right of private property guaranteed under
the Constitution for the Federal Government to forcibly deprive the citizens of
this nation of their property through taxation or otherwise, and make a gift
thereof to foreign governments or to their citizens.
The 2nd plank of the Communist Manifesto calls for "A heavy
progressive or graduated income tax." This was implemented in the
United States in 1913 by the supposed ratification of the 16th (or Income Tax)
Amendment. This was foisted on a gullible American public with "soak the
rich" hype.
The resultant federal income tax has not only stripped us of our wealth, but
an aggressive IRS has violated our Fourth Amendment rights to privacy in our
homes, businesses, personal papers and personal affairs.
The tax bite in 1932 was 16%. Today over half of our earnings go to federal,
state and local taxes. And federal government spending continues to increase an
average of 7% per year. Today our government is now more than sixteen times the
size of what it was in 1960. As Daniel Webster said, "An unlimited power to
tax, necessarily involves the power to destroy."
12. We declare that all treaties or agreements with other countries must not
deprive our citizens of rights guaranteed them by the Constitution. We further
declare that it is treason to use such instruments to aid or comfort an enemy.
Today our national sovereignty is in jeopardy! Efforts have long been
underway to bring the United States into the New World Order. The NWO agenda
includes the destruction of US sovereignty and the US Constitution, the
destruction of the sovereignty and constitutions of all other nations, and the
establishment of a world government.
America's enemies have launched a multi-pronged attack against our national
sovereignty. A few examples:
In education: Patriotism and love of country are discouraged in public
schools so that our children's first loyalty will be to the United Nations
rather than to the United States.
In trade: WTO, NAFTA and GATT treaties have diminished our economic
self-sufficiency and independence, and our right to establish our own foreign
commerce policy.
In the environment: United Nations biosphere reserves have been established
in the United States and placed under UN control.
In jurisprudence: The International Criminal Court threatens to usurp our
Constitutional rights to trial by jury, a speedy trial, accountable judges,
appeals and habeas corpus.
13. We consider it treason for the Federal Government to dismantle or weaken
our military establishment below that point required for the protection of the
states against invasion, or to surrender or commit our men, arms, and money to
the control of foreign or world organizations or governments; or to allow
foreign military bases on American land.
George Washington said, "To be prepared for war is one of the most
effectual means of preserving peace."
In readiness: We have reduced our military capability under the name of
"disarmament" to the extent that we can no longer fight a two-theater
war nor resist a tyrannical United Nations.
In the military: Our servicemen have been assigned to UN commands, made to
wear UN uniforms and insignia, and committed to UN military actions.
In national security: Foreign military bases have been established on
American soil; and after 9/11, AWACS warplanes with foreign UN pilots were
invited to patrol US skies.
For God, Family and Country!
