National Chairman’s LetterPrayer AlertAugust 2006
Keep the pressure on about illegal immigration Congress is in recess until after Labor Day, so now is the time to keep the pressure on about illegal immigration. This is a vital concern to most Americans, including legal immigrants and many minorities. This is going to be the deciding issue in many Congressional races. I fully expect to see a Congressional turnover similar to the election of 1994, where 110 new Representatives were elected to the House of Representatives. This is over a 25% turnover and it sent a shock wave through the Washington Insiders. If we keep illegal immigration in the forefront of this election, many of our so-called “Representatives” will have to find honest work after November. One of the easiest ways to communicate with Congress is through the Numbers USA website. http://www.numbersusa.com/actionbuffet You may send pre-written faxes to your Senators and Representative which should include a personal P.S. on the bottom. This is a quick and effective way to make your wishes known. Another fast and simple approach to Congressional communication is a pre-written letter at the John Birch Society site: http://capwiz.com/jbs/issues/alert/?alertid=8797806&type=CO Please personalize by adding your P.S. There is also a “no amnesty, stop illegal immigration” petition to Congress which you may sign and have sent in your name. http://capwiz.com/jbs/issues/alert/?alertid=8689651&type=CO The last item is a speech given by the former Governor of Colorado, Dick Lamm. It sounds too good to be true, but I have checked this information and found it credible. See: http://www.snopes.com/politics/soapbox/lamm.asp
