Prayer Alert  7-2-2009

The 233^rd Anniversary of our Declaration of Independence from England will be celebrated on Saturday.  Please read and ponder on the truths contained in the Declaration and apply these to our current situation with the federal Government.     Many of the grievances listed by the Colonists exist today fostered by the Washington Insiders.  The major difference between our situation and the Colonists' situation is that Congress will listen when enough of us make our wishes known.

The first year or two of a new presidents' administration is traditionally one of getting his legislation passed.  This president has worn out his welcome exceptionally fast and Congress is beginning to balk at what he wants done.  For example, the “Cap & Trade” bill should have whizzed through the House since it is 72% Democrats and he wanted it passed.  Instead it squeaked through 219 to 212 with 44 Democrats voting against and only 8 Republicans voting for.

H.R. 1207, the Bill to audit the FED is another example.  This bill is marked for defeat by the Washington Insiders, yet 245 member s of the House have cosponsored it.  That is over ½ of the House as cosponsors with 74 Democrats and all but 6 Republicans cosponsoring it .  These and other indicators lead me to believe that the Obama Coalition in Congress is beginning to evaporate.

When we celebrate our Independence from Britain this year, let us make it a matter of prayer that the forces of Freedom will be strengthened nationally and that the enemies of Freedom will be stymied.     May we make personal righteousness a priority this year so that we may, with confidence, call down the powers of heaven upon our nation.

WHAT EACH ONE OF US CAN DO.

 Take a few minutes daily to study the issues in the following links, then communicate your desires to our elected Representatives through the prepared letters and faxes provided.     When we reach critical mass of 50 Americans per Congressional District willing to contact Congress at least once a week, those in Congress will begin to respond to the Freedom issues upon which we are writing.  This is the way that the cosponsors for the Audit the FED Bill were obtained and also the way that the Representatives who crossed the Administration were influenced to vote against “Cap & Trade”.  We just need more Americans communicating with Congress and we need to do it more consistently.    Please reply to this email with your willingness to contact Congress weekly and if you are willing to be a leader in your Congressional District.

We can defeat Socialism if we will pressure Congress to vote for Freedom.    This and prayer are the two actions that all Americans can take.   The Freedom of our children relies on our willingness to act now.
